In meiner künstlerischen Praxis kombiniere ich klassischen Realismus, abstrakte Elemente, Pop-Art und Surrealismus. Diese fragmentierte Einheit schafft eine Ambiguität, die sowohl in den Motiven als auch in den Räumen, die die Charaktere umgeben, verkörpert ist.
Das Aufwachsen in Kasachstan, einem kulturellen Schmelztiegel, hat mich durch den Einfluss verschiedener Kulturen geprägt. Die Migration nach Deutschland hat diese Vielfalt in meiner Ästhetik weiter verstärkt. Diese Einflüsse manifestieren sich in Serien wie „Infoxication“, „Macht und Narzissmus“, „My therapist says“, „Die Stimme des Raums“ oder „Between the media“. Jede Serie ist ein Versuch, eine visuelle und emotionale Sprache zu entwickeln, die eine Brücke zum Betrachter schlägt.
Ich arbeite oft intuitiv und lasse Formen abstrahieren, um neue Identitäten entstehen zu lassen. Meine Charaktere basieren auf realen Menschen, aber auch auf Referenzen aus Kunstgeschichte, Mythen, Filmen und meiner eigenen Vorstellungskraft. Die menschliche Form ist meine große Inspiration. Meine Figuren sind häufig Transitwesen, die auf unsichtbaren Grenzen balancieren. Diese Balanceakte sind manchmal ein mythisches Sein zwischen zwei Wesen (Tier und Mensch), ein Exhibitionieren und ein Verhüllen, perfekter äußerer Schein und dahinter abgrundtiefes Leersein.
Viele meiner Arbeiten tragen die Mehrschichtigkeit in sich, was den Aspekt der Reproduzierbarkeit betont. Dabei ist es mir wichtig, aufzuzeigen, dass das Medium Malerei durch die Einflüsse neuer Medien seinen Status wandelt. Meine Werke verbinden Bewegung und Stille, was eine beunruhigende und surreale Atmosphäre erzeugt. Diese Wirkung erreiche ich unter anderem durch den Einsatz transparenter Stoffe, die mit Acryl bemalt und auf die Leinwand kaschiert werden. Das Gewebe bleibt sichtbar, die Oberfläche wirkt verpixelt, und die darunterliegenden Schichten scheinen durch „die zweite Haut“ hindurch. Subtile Räumlichkeiten entstehen, die an meine früheren plastischen Arbeiten erinnern, ich begann meine künstlerische Praxis zunächst als Bildhauer und bog Figuren aus Draht, die gleich einer Zeichnung in den Raum drangen.
Nach meinem Studium der Bildhauerei an der HFK in Bremen arbeitete ich an der Hamburgischen Staatsoper. Bei der Gestaltung eines Bühnenbildes mit transparenten Stoffen entdeckte ich die Möglichkeit mehrere Ebenen in einem Bild zu verschmelzen und somit deren rein physische Präsenz zu durchbrechen. Dies war die Geburtsstunde meiner Technik, die mit ihrer digital wirkenden Bildstörung eine Brücke zwischen der virtuellen und der realen Welt schafft. Seither bilden polymorphe Dopplungen das Fundament auf dem ich mich künstlerisch austobe.
Die physische und inhaltliche Vielschichtigkeit meiner Werke eröffnet einen Dialog mit dem Betrachter. In einer zunehmend komplexen und unübersichtlichen visuellen Welt möchte ich das Bewusstsein für die eigene Position schärfen. Unsere Wirklichkeit ist durch die Vielzahl der Narrative chaotisch und intransparent geworden. Die Navigation durch diese Zeiten erfordert das Balancieren zwischen widersprüchlichen Zuständen und Spannungsfeldern. Meine Werke spiegeln dieses Oszillieren wider und laden den Betrachter ein, sich mit den paradoxen und zersplitterten Aspekten unseres Lebens auseinanderzusetzen. Dabei möchte ich einen Raum schaffen, in dem das Paradoxe sichtbar wird und die Vielschichtigkeit unserer modernen Existenz erfahrbar ist.
In my artistic practice, I combine realism, abstract elements, pop art, and surrealism. This fragmented unity creates an ambiguity embodied in both the motifs and the spaces surrounding the characters.
Growing up in Kazakhstan, a cultural melting pot, shaped me through the influence of various cultures. My migration to Germany further enhanced this diversity in my aesthetic. These influences manifest themselves in series such as "Infoxication," "Power and Narcissism," "My Therapist Says," "Stimme des Raums," and "Between the Media”, etc. Each series is an attempt to develop a visual and emotional language that builds a bridge to the viewer.
I often work intuitively, abstracting forms to create new identities. My characters are based on real people, but also on references from art history, myths, movies, and my own imagination. The human form is my great inspiration. My figures are often transitory beings, balancing on invisible boundaries. These balancing acts are sometimes a mythical existence between two beings (animal and human), an exhibitionism and a concealment, a perfect outward appearance and behind it an abysmal emptiness.
Many of my works are multi-layered, emphasizing the aspect of reproducibility. It is important to me to demonstrate that the medium of painting is changing its status due to the influence of new media. My works combine movement and stillness, creating an unsettling and surreal atmosphere. I achieve this effect, among other things, through the use of transparent fabrics painted with acrylic and clad onto the canvas. The fabric remains visible, the surface appears pixelated, and the underlying layers shine through the "second skin." Subtle spatialities emerge that are reminiscent of my earlier sculptural works. I initially began my artistic practice as a sculptor, bending wire figures that worked like three-dimensional drawings.
After studying sculpture at the HFK in Bremen, I worked at the Hamburg State Opera. While designing a stage set with transparent fabrics, I discovered the possibility of merging multiple layers into one image, thus disrupting their purely physical presence. This was the birth of my technique, which, with its digital-looking image distortion, creates a bridge between the virtual and the real world. Since then, polymorphic doublings have formed the foundation upon which I have explored my artistic creativity.
The physical and thematic complexity of my works opens a dialogue with the viewer. In an increasingly complex and confusing visual world, I aim to sharpen awareness of one's own position. Our reality has become chaotic and opaque due to the multitude of narratives. Navigating through these times requires balancing between contradictory states and areas of tension. My works reflect this oscillation and invite the viewer to engage with the paradoxical and fragmented aspects of our lives. In doing so, I aim to create a space in which the paradox becomes visible and the complexity of our modern existence can be experienced.

Köpfe, die Grimassen schneiden, rahmen die ruhige, zentrale und autonome Gestalt ein.
Die Transparenz der Figuren wirkt wie eine organische semipermeable Membran.

Lots of neon, fighting dogs and a burning car. An image that appears "digital" due to the multilayered working technique and slight shifting. The content is contradictory; animals would not fight in front of a burning vehicle.
As the title suggests, the depicted topic does not correspond to the facts. As we know, fake news is mostly distorted for political gain and is popular on social media.
The multilayered structure of the work and the "perfect" surface refer to the digital filters that distort reality.
The neon colors and indigo-blue intensifying their luminosity are reflecting the conflict -filled presence.

Die Inspirationsquelle für das cineastisch wirkende Bild ist "Herkules bei Omphale" von Rubens. Das sinnliche Original von 1602 fasziniert mich, da dafür kunstgeschichtliche Vorlagen, wie Laokoon oder Herkules von Farnese benutzt wurden. Schon im sinnlichen Original verändert sich aus heutiger Sicht alles, Geschlechterrollen, Gewohnheiten und Erscheinungsbilder fließen ineinander und reformieren sich.
Das Porzellan-dominierte Stillleben und die Hauptfiguren sind in einem Zugwagen platziert. Zerbrechliche, traditionsbehaftete Gegenstände tragen die Komposition. Der symbolträchtige Kopf Marias wiederholt sich im Muster der Unterwäsche der "modernisierten" Omphale.
Der Bildinhalt ergibt einen absurden geschichtlichen Mix, der der beschleunigten Gegenwart hinterher hinkt.

The inspirational source is Munch's "Me in hell" which he painted 1903 in Berlin. Drama and expressionism collide here with an indifferent selfie.
This is how I like to show the grotesque distortion of our identity caused by the virtual presence.
The discrepancy between the virtual body and the physical form in reality leads to a shift in self- perception. The avatar is modified by beauty filters, it is more attractive, uniformed and knows no emotional depths.
Minimizing the gap between the avatar and the flesh turns into a permanent "self improvement".
Inevitably, it ends in frustration as we hit our physical limits.
